January 2 -- 6: SWHS-DP4 South Western High School's advanced students in Drawing and Painting 4 Classes will exhibit their work as a final exam. January 9 -- February 3: 50 Years in Hanover Member artists will show their work that somehow uses "50" or "Hanover" - or both! - as their theme, to celebrate the Gallery being around for 50 years. February 6 -- March 3: For the Love of Artists A special memorial exhibit of art by Guild members who have passed away over the years. March 7 -- 24: 37th Annual School Student Show Artwork by High School students from schools around the area. March 26 -- 31: ***Gallery and Classrooms Closed*** Closed for cleaning and repairs. Work for the Open Exhibit to be delivered and registered March 29-31. April 3 -- 27: 3rd Open Exhibit Members and non-members have a chance to win cash prizes for artwork submitted. Delivery of entries is March 29-31. Artists will pick up work April 27-28. Reception and prizes handed out April 8th. May 1 -- June 2: Miniature Exhibit For Members only. Art can be made in any medium. Images sizes must be under 24 square inches. Sculptural work can't exceed 5 inches in any dimension. More details will be posted. June 5 -- 30: Guest Artist Exhibit: The Paintings of Richard Hamwi Front gallery only. Members' work will be on display in all other areas. Richard Hamwi will give a presentation at the All-Members Meeting on June 25th. July 3 -- August 3: Art from Arts Guild Classes Will use gallery space as needed. Members' work will be displayed in all other areas. July 3 -- August 31: Member's Annual $99 and Under Art Sale Guild members will offer original works of art for $99 or less. A two-month Summer special! September 4 -- 29: Art from the Drawing Room Guild member Charlotte Yealey and her colleagues at The Drawing Room in Gettysburg will exhibit their work. Reception TBA. October 2 -- 26: Plein-Air Painting Exhibit Featuring the work of plein-air Guild members whom regularly work together. Front Gallery only. Fall Show Art Drop-Off October 26-27. October 30 -- December 29: 50th Annual Fall Show Our members once again exhibit their newest creations and compete for awards and prizes. A Hanover tradition! Reception and Awards presented Sunday, November 4th. Many works in this show will stay on display through the holiday season. November 20 -- December 29: Gallery of Arts and Crafts Fine arts and crafts are displayed by our Guild members for the holiday season. |
